All items are made to measure using the dimensions you provide.
It’s important that measurements are taken carefully and accurately to ensure the best fit.

The guide below is here to help you measure your space correctly, if you’re unsure at any point, just get in touch and I’m happy to help before your order is made.

How to Measure for Box Cushions

For the Bench

Measure the length of the bench (left to right).
Measure the width/depth of the bench (front to back).
Decide how thick you’d like the cushion to be — 10cm is a popular choice.

Write this as: Length × Width × Thickness (cm)

For the Backrests

Measure the length of the backrest (usually the length of your bench)
Measure the width of the backrest cushion (how tall it will go up) - Remember that you will have the the bench cushion underneath.

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Measuring the old cushion instead of the space

Forgetting wheel arches or hinges

Adding “extra” for comfort, that will hang over the edge

Forgetting that there will be a box cushion underneath

How to Measure for Curtains:

Measure the length of the track for the curtain.
Measure the height of your curtain.

- If you have a track at the bottom and top of your window, measure the space between the top and bottom track.
- If this is for a dividing curtain, measure from the track to the floor (or towhere you want it to go).

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Measuring the window instead of the space

Forgetting some windows/doors have a curve

How to Measure for Box Cushions

Rock ’n’ roll beds are reupholstered using your existing cushions, so exact measurements aren’t needed. I’ll take final measurements once your cushions arrive.

To provide an accurate quote, I just need a few rough measurements and some basic details:

Width of the bed
Length of the bed when open
Thickness of the cushions

Photos of the bed and cushions are really helpful and often answer most questions.

Delivery & Collection

Rock ’n’ roll bed cushions need to be dropped off and collected from me in Newquay, as I work directly from your original cushions.

I’ll confirm drop-off and collection address once your quote is agreed.
